The candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the September 21, 2024 governorship election in Edo State, Pastor Azemhe Azena has been suspended by the executive members of his ward (10) in Etsako East Local Government Area of the state over allegation of gross misconduct, disregard for party plans and anti-arty activities.
In a swift reaction, Pastor Azemhe Azena, described the suspension statement as fake and inconsequential as the authentic ward 10 Chairman of NNPP in the local government area, Mr Goddy lyamah has since refuted the claim which he added was the handiwork of non-members of the party.
The letter of the suspension of Pastor Azemhe Azena, copy of which was made available to newsmen in Benin City after it was handed over to the state chairman of the party, with the acknowledged copy was signed by the Ward 10 chairman, Hon Kadiri Eshimokha; Secretary, Comrade lmonikho Abdul; Woman Leader, Mrs Stella Afebua and the Youth Leader, Comrade Eshiobo Johnson.
It was reliably gathered that copies of the suspension letter has been sent to the party’s National Chairman, Edo State Chairman, Edo North Vice Chairman and the leader ofvthe party in Etsako East local government area.
Also served with Copies of the suspension letter are South- South Vice Chairman, National Chairman of lNEC and Edo State Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
