Benin Club Of Massachusetts Cautions On Snow Emergency

Boston – By Alltimepost.com

Premier Edo organization in Boston Massachusetts, United States of America, The Benin Club of Massachusetts has called on all Nigerian families in the Northeastern part of the country to exercise caution in dealing with the ongoing snow-storm.

The advice was contained in a press statement issued on Sunday by Ms. Patience Abbe and Mr. Aliu Otokiti, president and secretary respectively of the organization.

The group said that although Massachusetts State Governor, Mr. Charlie Baker has declared a state of emergency, it felt obligated to also advise “our people in our own way because we are from a different climatic region of the world.”

Benin Club further advised everyone to heed the advice of the authorities in dealing with the snow emergency and wished all a very safe period.

Highlights of the message include:

* Ensure that the children are properly dressed for the weather (even when they are indoors).

* Take care in shoveling snow. Dress very warm in layers.

* Wear a warm Hat and a scarf around your neck to maintain body heat.

* Tie a scarf around your mouth and your nose to guarantee your breathing in warm air.

* Shovel snow in small quantity. Do not overload your shovel as this will exert more work-load on your heart.

* Clear the vents of the furnaces in your Home heaters to avoid C02 build-up in your house.
