Benin City, Edo – A teenager arrested for sexually abusing a two-year-old baby girl said that he only rubbed his penis on the lap of his victim as he never penetrated her as alleged by the police.
The suspected child molester (name withheld) was among others paraded by Edo State police Command over alleged involvement in various crimes ranging from kidnapping, attempted murder, armed robbery, cultism to sexual violations in the state, Friday, June 9, 2023.
The Public Relations Officer, Edo State Police Command SP Chidi Nwabuzor said the teenager had carnal knowledge of his neighbor’s daughter, a two-year-old girl in Benin City.
“Sir, I just wrote my primary six examination this year, I wanted to learn tailoring. One two years old girl came to look for my younger sister who was not at home. Her mother called her she didn’t go. I told the baby go home the baby did not go.
“I carried the baby and put her in the bed, removed her trousers, I also removed my trousers halfway, then I put my penis in her lap, I didn’t penetrate her”, the suspect told journalists.
Also paraded was a 39-year-old Sunday Eze who claimed that her victim, a nine-year-old girl forced him to sleep with her in his room.
Sunday stated that the little girl held him hostage in his house, demanded for N1,500.00 as he had sex with her soon after.
He further stated that the incident happened early this year as he was surprised when some youths in the community held and dragged him to the police station, last week.
“I slept with nine years old girl sometimes January this year. She entered my house quite alright! She forced me to give her money N1,500.00 before we can do it. So I gave her the money and I slept with her. I only did it once.
“I was riding my motorcycle to the market last week when some youths held me and started to mess me up. They beat me mercilessly and dragged me to police station.
“I have paid bride price but I don’t have children yet”, Mr Sunday stated.
The police spokesman SP Chidi Nwabuzor said Mr Sunday Eze is an habitual child abuser.
“The suspect is notorious for assembling little girls in his residence, thereafter begins to have carnal knowledge of them in turns”, SP Chidi stated.
Among exhibits showcased by operatives of Edo State police command were one USA automatic magnum XD 40 pistol with breech no. mg103161, four live 9mm Ammunition, 82 rounds of 9mm live ammunition, two pump action guns, 12 live cartridges, four expired Nigerian passports, two expired ECOWAS passports, one expired USA passport, two Japanese swords, one Japanese granulated cutlass and one locally made pistol with expended cartridge.
SP Chidi however reiterated CP Mohammed Dankwara’s resolve to make Edo State a hotbed for unrepentant criminals and their agents in the state.
