Benin City, Nigeria – A Suspected Kidnapper has lost his Life in the hands of Men Of Edo State Police command during a gun Battle at Ughiole forest in Agbede Community, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.
The Public Relations officer Edo State Police Command, Superintendent Chidi Nwabuzor said on Tuesday that the police received a credible information that there was a hide out of criminals along pipeline axis of Ughiole Forest in Agbede Community, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State
He Said the Divisional Police Officer In charge of Agbede immediately mobilized personnel, assisted by vigilance Group Members.
SP Chidi said they laid ambush for the hoodlums, adding that upon notice of the presence of Police they started shooting which led to exchange of gun shots, leaving one of the Kidnappers dead.
The Police PRO said others escaped with various degrees of gunshot wounds.
Chidi Nwabuzor says the commissioner of police Mr. Abutu Yaro has given an order to all police formations in the state that the fight against crime and criminality must be sustained.
Police Arrest 3 Suspects Over Sale Of Neighbor’s Child For N.6m
Edo State Police command has arrested a woman Mrs. Kate Ekaete Abang Kingsley who Allegedly Stole her Neighbor’s baby in Benin City and sold the child for the sum of six hundred thousand naira to buyers in Lagos State.
Both prospective Customers of the Suspected Baby trader were also arrested, and the Child recovered.
The one year and Six months old baby girl identified as purity Ohegbomwan was in tears in the Arms of the supposed Neighbour who stole her at St Saviour axis of Benin City and trafficked to Lagos State for sale.
The police public Relations officer Edo Command Command SP Chidi Nwabuzor said the Suspect Ekaete Abang Kingsley was a close friend of the family of the mother of the baby.
He said the Suspect has offered to assist the grandmother who was washing clothes since the little Baby was disturbing her, an offer the grandmother deeply appreciated but unknown to her that the Suspect and longtime friend in the market had ulterior motive to sell the Child
The Suspects who is a mother of three confessed that she was in dire need of money hence she stole the baby girl while the other two Suspects expressed regrets over their actions.
Mother of baby, Happiness Ohegbomwan expressed deep appreciation to the Edo State Police command for restoring her lost hope.
The baby had spent fourteen days in the hands of the Human traffickers before they met their water loo.
