Edo COVID-19 Taskforce Intensifies Sensitization Drive In Hotels, Bars

Edo State Taskforce on Coronavirus (COVID-19) has urged hoteliers to comply with necessary preventive measures against the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

During the sensitization exercise, leader of the taskforce team, Mrs. Omokaro Felicia, said hoteliers also play a critical role in ensuring their customers adhere to guidelines on use of face masks, social distancing, proper hand washing and use of hand sanitizers.

She noted, “We are here to sensitize the management and customers on the need to adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols and ensure that handwashing facilities and infrared thermometers are provided.”

On their part, the hoteliers commended the efforts of the state government in curbing the spread of the virus.

Manager of Randekhi Royal, Mr. Peter Enabulele, commended the Edo State government for the laudable initiative and urged residents to support the state government’s efforts to halt the spread of COVID-19.

Also, Operation Manager, Prestige Hotel, Deacon Igbinidu, noted: “This is a brilliant idea and I commend the Edo State government for its proactiveness in curbing the spread of this deadly virus. We are going to continue to comply with the Edo State government’s directives and ensure our customers oblige the directives of the government.”

Hotels visited by the state government team include Randekhi Gold, Exquisite Homes2 Hotel and Lounge, El Hassan Hotels and Suites, Vichi Gates Hotel and Suites, Prestige hotels, among others.
