Edo Citizens for Good Governance, Inc., a non-political not-for-profit group in Atlanta Georgia, United States of America has ranked Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki as the best performing Governor in Nigeria and therefore endorsed his second term bid.
The organization which focuses on good governance and transparency, said in a statement signed by Mr. Asani Bello-Osagie and Mr. Igbelokotor Onoabhagbe, its Coordinator and Secretary respectively, that Obaseki has met all the criteria for good governance.
Edo Citizens for Good Governance, Inc. said its decision was premised on years of watching Obaseki’s impressive performance deeply rooted in good governance and public transparency in all sectors of the state’s economy.
“We are particularly impressed with the progress you have made in all the sectors of the Edo State economy with your style of good governance and public transparency.
“Edo State citizens are truly enjoying the benefits of a fulfilled democratic administration that places the interest of the state above the personal and selfish interests of politicians.
The organization not only endorsed Obaseki for second term, but offered to assist him in any way possible to ensure the success of his gubernatorial ambition.
“To this end, we welcome any suggestions from you as to how we may be of assistance to you and your administration.”
