The remains of the late Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, arrived in Abuja from Lagos on Thursday ahead of his final rites scheduled for Friday.

The remains arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at 12:16 p.m.

The scheduled funeral services began on Thursday with a Service of Songs, followed by his interment on Friday afternoon.

According to the Director of Army Public Relations, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, General Lagbaja will be laid to rest at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja on Friday.
