Bashir expressed concern for Nigerians silently struggling because of the harsh economic situations created by Tinubu’s policies.
Bashir Ahmad, an aide to former President Muhammadu Buhari, has acknowledged the widespread economic hardship facing Nigerians under the current administration of Bola Tinubu.
In a short statement he posted on X, Bashir expressed concern for Nigerians silently struggling because of the harsh economic situations created by Tinubu’s policies.
He said: “Truly, many people are struggling silently, in these times of critical economic hardship. They shouldn’t have to beg or show their need for our support.
‘Let’s extend a helping hand to as many people as we can, even when they don’t ask for it. Small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Encourage those in your circle to also do the same.”
Bashir’s statement is among several lamentations from Nigerians in recent times due to the growing economic realities worsened by the hike in fuel prices.
SaharaReporters reported on Wednesday that filling stations owned by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited had hiked its fuel price to N1030 per litre.
The increment came barely one month after it increased the fuel price to over N850 per litre.
