Oredo Council Initiates Micro Financing For Traders

By Eben Enasco

In a move to support small businesses, the Executive Chairman of the Oredo Government Council, Dr. Tom Obaseki, has provided financial assistance to micro traders in the area.

This initiative aims to help traders who have been struggling due to economic hardship, enabling them to increase their sales and improve their standard of living, according to Dr. Obaseki who assured that the council will continue to address the needs of petty traders, who are often the most vulnerable in society.

He encouraged those who did not receive support this time to be patient, as the government is committed to ongoing assistance. The traders, including Madam Happiness, Yemisi, and Priscilla Nosakhare, expressed gratitude for the support, which they believe will boost their businesses, praising the gesture and wishing the Chairman a long life.

Since taking office, Dr. Obaseki has demonstrated a commitment to supporting the local community. The event was attended by the Secretary to the Council, Dr. Wellington Osadolor, political leaders, supervisory councilors, and other council aides.

This initiative highlights the council’s dedication to prioritizing the welfare of micro traders and supporting the local economy.”
