President Tinubu, Where Is The N35,000 Palliative You Promised Federal Civil Servants?

Abuja, Nigeria – Comrade Igbotako Nowinta, a pro-democracy, human rights activist and renowned International conflict resolution expert, has asked President Bola Tinubu to explain why the much publicized N35,000 palliative promised federal civil servants in Nigeria has not materialized progressively.

Comrade Nowinta who is also the Executive Director, Nigeria Good Governance Research Centre, made this call yesterday in Abuja in a press release he gave to journalists.

He said it is unfortunate to recall that the much-publicized N35,000 palliative promised the federal civil servants in Nigeria by President Bola Tinubu’ government, was only paid to them once in November, 2023, and at the time of putting this statement together nothing is being said about this most painful issue.

Nowinta noted: “At a time like this when most Nigerians, especially the federal civil servants are being impoverished as a result of the sudden removal of the Fuel Subsidy Regime by President Bola Tinubu on May 29th, 2023, during his inauguration, it has become most insensitive on the part of this presidency that at this yuletide season there is no palliative on sight.

“It is sad that under this rampaging ruling class the social problems have gone from bad to worse. The economic crisis has deepened, the local industries are distressed; unemployment has escalated; the mass of our people are hungry and angry. Has the palliatives promised federal civil servants become stupendous illusion?

“Why has this government gone into a trance on this matter? What we see unfolding is a mindless, deceptive and criminal acts of a sitting civilian government. Mr. President where is the palliatives promised federal civil servants in Nigeria?

“To us this present system represents devastating monstrosities. Therefore, President Tinubu should prove us wrong by providing without delay, the best road map that will take into consideration the formulation and sincere implementation of people’s-oriented policies, that will lead to improvement of living conditions of the ordinary people; improvement of wages; minimization of corruption and avoidance of of the mismanagement of resources.”
