Imuse Launches Gubernatorial Campaign In Oredo, Egor, Ikpoba-Okha

Leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress from three of Edo South’s seven local government areas warmly welcomed Dr. David Imuse’s Restoration 2024 campaign as he officially launched his gubernatorial bid in the senatorial district yesterday.

Dr. Imuse, a prominent gubernatorial aspirant and State chairman of the party at the APC Secretariats, emphasized that *his aspiration was grounded in competence, capacity, candor, temperament, and unwavering loyalty to the party over the years*. He expressed *his commitment to lead Edo State as governor, drawing on his experience leading the party in the state*.

*Accompanied by his wife, Uwa, who hails from Edo South, Dr. Imuse highlighted his aspiration’s foundations in a deep understanding of the state’s diverse landscape, comprising 192 wards and 18 local government areas, and his ability to connect with people across the entire state*.

He pointed out that, to be an effective governor, one must be well-versed in various aspects of governance, have broad appeal across the state, and maintain a reputation free from scandal. Dr. Imuse asserted that he possessed these qualities and more, despite not being born into privilege. He shared his determination to represent the APC in the 2024 governorship election.

*Expressing concern over the state of infrastructure in Benin City, the capital of Edo, Dr. Imuse underlined the need for modern infrastructure, such as flyovers at traffic intersections and public water supply, in this historical city*.

*Mrs. Uwa Imuse, speaking in Benin, urged the party to support her husband’s candidacy, emphasizing his integrity and commitment to fulfilling his promises*.

The Oredo chairman of the APC, Mr. Osamudiamhen Osarenkhoe, welcomed Dr. Imuse as a fighter and a leader worthy of representing the APC in the upcoming governorship elections.

Hon. Aiyamhenekpen Osakue, a party leader in Oredo, praised Dr. Imuse as the best candidate to carry the APC flag in the 2024 State Governorship elections, acknowledging his dedication to the party’s survival.

Moving on to the Egor local government area at Uselu, Dr. Imuse was received by LGA Chairman Chief Emmanuel Iyase and other party faithfuls, where he continued to explain his aspiration’s foundation in responsibility rather than privilege.

In response, Hon. Pius Alile emphasized that the 2024 APC governorship candidate should be a true patriot for the party, willing to continue supporting the party even if he doesn’t secure the ticket.

At the Ikpoba-Okha APC local government Secretariat in Idogbo, Hon. Sunny Ogbewe extended a warm welcome to Dr. Imuse, who was greeted by past local government council chairmen, party chairmen, and past leaders among others.

A leader of the party, Chief Victor Ekhator expressed hope that Dr. Imuse’s aspiration would become a reality, while also lamenting the neglect faced by the oil-rich Ikpoba-Okha Local Government area.
