APC Not A Dictatorial Party, Says Ganduje

The All Progressive Congress (APC) would not be a dictatorial political platform, according to the national chairman of the party, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

Speaking during the inauguration of the six newly elected members of the national working committee (NWC) in Abuja, he assured that the party would avail itself to dialoque and consultations on any issue of utmost importance to the supporters of the party.

Ganduje who disclosed that the campaign councils of the Kogi, Bayelsa and Imo governorship polls would be held in the respective states capitals particularly promised to take the party back to the grassroots.

The Kano born politician assured that he would convene the weekly NWC meetings at the party national headquarters in line with the party constitution.

He added: “What is of utmost Importance is that we would make the party a strong institution of our government. We have also resolved to make the party active throughout the year. The party need to be active and robust beyond electioneering period.

“The party will have functional offices at the ward, local government, states, zonal and national offices. We believe you will be able to abide by all these reforms.”

Congratulating the newly sworn in NWC members, he pledged to carry along all those that lost out in the contest to fill the vacant seats in their respective states.

He noted: “With all that occured before your election, we have achieved complete dialogue, we have also deepened dialoque and widened it. It has become our culture. It shows that we are not dictators in APC.

” We believe in dialoque and discussion. That does not mean everybody must agree. Even at that we take the views of those who disagree so that in the end they are fully accommodated.”
Those administered the oath of office and allegiance at the event graced by dozens of party stalwarts comprises Dr Mary Alile Idele as national woman leader, National Vice Chairman, North West (North West Zone) Hon. Garba Datti Muhammad (Kaduna State), who replaced Dr Salihu Lukman, National welfare officer, Donatus Nwankpa (South East zone).

They include Prof. Abdul Karim Abubakar Kana (Nasarawa State) Legal Adviser (North Central Zone) , Duro Meseko for the seat of deputy national publicity secretary and the Zonal Organising Secretary (North Central Zone), Isyaku Ismail (Kogi State).
