The Anchor University, Ayobo, Lagos, has named the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination top scorer, Kamsiyochukwu Umeh of Deeper Life High School, Mowe, Anchor University Young Ambassador for the year 2022/2023 session.
Umeh scored 360.
She was also given a scholarship to study any course of her choice at Anchor University.
The Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele, at a media briefing to announce the opening of the university’s 2023/2024 admission exercise, said, “You have made us proud as a church, Deeper Life Bible Church. You have beamed what we represent – Excellence. Therefore, we as a university must celebrate you.
“Therefore, on behalf of our Proprietor and Chancellor, Pastor (Dr) W. F Kumuyi, on behalf of our BOT Chairman, Pastor Nkemkika Obina, on behalf of Anchor University Pro–Chancellor, Professor Steven Odiowe, on behalf of Anchor University Management and the entire university community, I hereby pronounce Miss Nkechinyere Kamsiyochukwu Umeh as Anchor University Young Ambassador for the year 2022/2023 session with a full scholarship award for her to study any course of her choice in Anchor University.”
Also, the first best 10 students in UTME from Deeper Life High School also got tuition-free scholarships for their efforts.
He continued, “I equally award the Tuition-Free scholarship to the best 10 students in UTME from the Deeper Life High Schools nationwide.
“To all other young students, lovers of the Nigerian educational system, who took the 2023/2024 session and scored 250 and above in the 2023/2024 UTME score.”
Prof. Bandele also announced the commencement of the admission process for the next academic session even as he said that the faith-based university was set to admit students into its Post Graduate Programmes for the award of PGD, M.Sc, MBA and Ph.D degrees in Computer Science, Microbiology and Business Administration.
