Hon Blessing Agbebaku has been elected the Speaker of the 8th Edo State House of Assembly which was inaugurated today.
He was administered the oath of office by the Clerk of the House Alhaji Yahaya Omogbai, promising to uphold the principal of the ethics of conduct as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
Earlier, the new Speaker was nominated by Natasha Osawaru representing Egor Constituency and Seconded by Adehemankhu Isibor Member Representing Esan North East and was unanimously adopted by the 24 Members.
Hon Blessing Agbebaku Represents Owan West Constituency in the 8th Edo State House of Assembly.
Meanwhile, Maria Edeko of Esan North East II was nominated unopposed as the Deputy Speaker. The New Speaker in his first Legislative duty administered oath of office to the 24 Members of the state House of Assembly.
