The Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, has defeated the APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in his own home state, Lagos State.
He defeated Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) standard bearer, after the votes were calculated from all the 20 LGAs in the state.
Tinubu is a former Lagos governor and the state is historically his stronghold.
Though Tinubu won more local government areas, Obi defeated him with most of the votes.
All the results of the 20 local governments have been declared. Tinubu won in 11, while Obi won in 9 local government areas.
With the results declared, Obi polled 572, 606 while Tinubu scored 582,454
