2023: CP Okolo, AIG Ede Ayuba Ekpeji Take Over As Election Duty Officers In Edo

Less than four days before the February 25, general election in Nigeria, a new Commissioner of Police, CP Benjamin Okolo has assumed office as Election Duty Officer, in Edo State.

He took over the mantle of leadership on Wednesday from CP Mohammed Dankwara, who until his withdrawal from the special assignment was the Edo State Commissioner Of Police.

Shortly after assumption of office, CP Okolo spoke on the tasks ahead, assuring of his commitment to duty.

In another development, a new Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 5, on Election Duty, AIG, Ede Ayuba Ejpeji, also assumed office alongside the commissioner of police.

He also expressed his readiness to partner with other security agents to defend the integrity of the country.

Recall that, AIG zone 5 recently lost Jimita Lawal after a brief illness.

Senior officers from across the security agencies in the state attended the arrival of the two new Police Chiefs.
