As we all know, everything that has a beginning must come to an end.
So, the year 2022 has come and gone, ushering in a new year of hopes and aspirations. On that note, we give thanks to the Almighty God for this unique and unfailing cosmic arrangement.
To you – our friends, readers, and family members around the globe, I on behalf of the Board of Directors of Alltime Communications, Incorporated and the Editorial Board of Alltimepost.com sincerely greet, thank, and wish you a happy and prosperous New Year.
As always, we value your support and will continue to count on you in our quest to fulfill our journalistic mission in the years ahead.
As we celebrate, let us pause to remember those who could not make it to the new year and pray God to grant them eternal rest, and their bereaved families and friends the fortitude to bear the losses.
We must also not forget those who are unable to celebrate due to illness and/or hospitalization – they need our prayers. We must also remember those living in troubled spots of the world, especially war-ravaging countries and pray for global peace and security.
For those of us who are sons and daughters of corrupt African nations, especially Nigeria, we must take 2023 as a year of renewed hope, vigor and sheer determination to fight corruption in all its ramifications.
It is the reason our people remain in abject poverty. It is the same reason why there is insecurity, kidnapping and lingering acts of terrorism in the land.
Nigeria is a nation endowed with enormous natural and human resources, but where few privileged people take possession of the nation’s wealth at the expense of the masses, and where massive looting has become synonymous with the name of the country.
Our corrupt leaders, including politicians and religious ministers must be held accountable for their actions to defraud the country and people. The people must wake up – it is no longer a time to stand aloof and do nothing.
Let all those who have the blood of the masses in their palms receive the wrath of the people. We must all join forces with credible civil society organizations in Nigeria to fight those who have no regards for human rights and the rule of law.
We must demand accountability and transparency from ex- Military Dictator, President Mohammadu Buhari, who came to power, promising to fight corruption and ease the lives of the Nigerian masses, but whose government, as we have come to know is embedded and infected with corrupt elements, many of whom are his close allies.
As the 2023 elections draw closer, Nigerians must be ready to stop those who looted the country by voting the rights candidates in all the elections from the presidency to the local councils.
You must reject their blood money, bags of rice, onions, salt and other pecuniary acts or financial inducements to sway your electoral decisions.
It is the year you must summon to the public square, your delegates who, due to financial inducements compromised your electoral rights to elect the wrong and unqualified candidates.
