Imminent Attack: Police Warn Cultists, Troublemakers In Edo

BY MIKE OSAROGIAGBON

Benin City, Nigeria – Police in Edo have warned cultists and other troublemakers to steer clear of the state or be ready to face the full weight of the law.

The warning followed intelligence reports received by the state police command that some cultists/miscreants are plotting to foment trouble in and around Ekosodin Community of Benin City.

The police therefore called on parents and guardians to appeal to their children/wards to avoid acts that will attract the full weight of the law on them.

The Public Relations Officer for Edo State Police Command SP Chidi Nwabuzor gave the warning in a statement he made available to Journalists via the command official WhatsApp page on December 4, 2022.

“The Commissioner Of Police, Edo State Police Command, CP Mohammed A. Dankwara, FBDFM, FCIMN  has warned that the Command will deal decisively with anyone or a group of persons who threatened  the peace, safety, and security of the State or trying to test the will of the Command.

“The CP issued this warning… following intelligence reports, that some Miscreants and Secret Cult Boys are planning and threatening to cause mayhem in Ekosodin Community and environs of Benin, Edo State.

“Meanwhile, the CP has called on parents and guardians to specially appeal to their children and wards to abstain from engaging in act that would bring them in conflict with the law enforcement institutions as the command will not hesitate to enforce the law, no matter whose Ox is gored”, SP Nwabuzor warned.
