Edo College Of Nursing Sciences Opens Application For Admission Into Basic Midwifery Programme

Edo State College of Nursing Sciences has commenced application for admission into the Basic Midwifery Programme for the first cohort of its 2022 session.

In a statement, the institution’s registrar, Osayuki Jackson Obaseki, said the application opens on Tuesday 11th, January and closes Tuesday 25th, January 2022, at 12:00 pm.

Obaseki disclosed that the qualification examination for the programme will take place on January 28th, 29th & 31st 2022, between 9 am and 3 pm at the Edo College of Nursing Sciences Computer Lab.

According to him, “Applications are hereby invited from qualified male and female candidates for admission into the Basic Midwifery Programme at the Edo State College of Nursing Sciences, KM 6 Sapele Road, by Godwin Abbey Road, Benin City. Study Period is three (3) years.”

On entry requirements, the registrar stated, “Applicant must possess: 1. WAEC/NECO (O’Level) with at least five (5) credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology OR NABTEB (English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology) at not more than two (2) sittings. 2. No Awaiting Result 3. Must be Seventeen (17) years old upon admission.”

 Obaseki urged applicants to visit: https://ecns.waeup.org, click on start Application to begin the application process, adding, “Complete the registration form. Please note your email and password as you will be required to log in with it to complete your application.”

He continued: “Applicants are required to have a functional email and phone number for future contacts and keep log-in details to check results.

“Application fee is N10,000.00 (Ten Thousand Naira only) to the college and N200.00 (Two hundred Naira only) to Nursing and Midwifery Committee, Edo State

“Examination Date: January 28th, 29th & 31st 2022 between 9 am and 3:00 pm (Applicants are advised to check their portal for respective allotted time). Venue: Edo CNS Computer Lab. Only applicants with valid Government identification and payment receipt will be allowed into the CBT Examination Centre.”

Noting that hardcopy forms will not be sold, the registrar urged applicants to beware of fraudsters.
