Provincial Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Nigeria, Dr. (Mrs.) Aarinola Kofoworola Ojo, last weekend, said she discovered the Secrets to long lasting marriage relationship during the course of her matrimonial journey.
The Clergywoman made the revelation in a speech she delivered during a Thanksgiving Service/Reception to mark her 60th birthday anniversary at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Province 7 Headquarters, Agbor, Delta State of Nigeria.
Pastor Aarinola Ojo, who was visibly concerned about the frightening rate of broken or failing marriage relationships within and outside the Church in Nigeria, said in her welcome address, that if women must experience long lasting marriage, they must be prepared to sacrifice unconditional submission to their husbands.
The Provincial Pastor, in charge of Province 7, Agbor said: “Women must let go negative ingredients like ego, pride, unforgiven spirit and intolerance, in order for their marriage to blossom.
“The fact of the matter is that demonic forces hide under such factors to unleash heavy havoc on countless newly married couples, and even older marriages.
“Agreed that some married men could be very stubborn, heady and unreasonable at times, but our women must be ready to swallow or endure some of these challenges and move on. As times goes on, even with God Almighty things would fall into place properly for them to enjoy their marriage.”
The former Lecturer, who many parishioners in the RCCG, see as a wonderful beacon of light and hope, gave insightful narratives about how she was able to overcome earlier tempestuous circumstances that bedeviled her marriage.
“Infinite patience and absolute trust in God is the key. When l newly married my husband, he came up with very frustrating characteristics, such as alcoholism, extramarital affairs and late nights attitudes.
“I initially confronted him, but later, l decided to take the matter to God. Today he is a Pastor in RCCG. Women must learn to submit totally to their husbands. With 37 years in marriage, l have discovered the secrets to long lasting marriage relationship. Couples should wait upon the Lord, be patient. They should keep busy serving God”.
