Worsening Insecurity: Address Nigerians Now On Way Forward, Clergyman Osayande Tells Buhari

Worsening security situation in Nigeria has continued to draw the attention and concern of Nigerians, including religious ministers who are not only worried about the wrong direction, but concerned about President Muhammadu Buhari’s ineptitude in dealing with the problems of the nation.

Recently, Clergyman Rev Harry Osayande, in commenting on the palpable security problems in Nigeria called on the nation’s President to address the people now on the problems facing the country and the way out of the national chaos.

Osayande, the General Overseer of the Final Word Grace Assembly International Incorporated, made the call in Benin City during the Church’s five-day prophetic and miracle service, with the theme: “Fullness of Joy.”

Osayande bemoaned the present democratic system which he said has not provided credible platform for millions of less privileged Nigerians to express their views without being harassed, intimidated, blackmailed or even threatened with death.

He regretted the sad situation where some State Governors have been treated with molestations, harassment and assassination attempt, just because they seek the safety and protection of their citizens along with their property within the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“President Muhammadu Buhari should address the people of Nigeria now; he should speak personally, directly and frontally to the Insecurity challenge in Nigeria now,” Osayande said.

“We are in a country where people are being confronted with hunger, deceits and glorified lies; people are living in self-denial; elected representatives are not leading with honesty, truth and sincerity.

“The voice of the people should be allowed to prevail, so that genuine peace can reign supreme in our land. Only President Buhari that can douse the tension in the country with a televised nationwide presidential address now,” he said.

Rev. Osayande, who marked his birthday anniversary in style during the historic program, urged religious leaders, to team up and pray for Nigeria and Nigerians, saying that only God Almighty can proffer lasting solution to the present protracted insecurity situation in Nigeria.

The highly successful program, which was attended by many parishioners and invited dignitaries from within and outside the shores of Nigeria (such as a frontline civil society activist, Chief Patrick Eholor of the famous One Love Foundation and an ex-federal law maker, Barr. Ehiogie West-Idahosa), was electrified by extraordinary testimonies of divine interventions by parishioners.
