A Commercial Bus belonging to Ovia North East Line, heading to Lagos from Benin on Wednesday, crashed into a moving lorry killing five passengers, with several other passengers sustaining various degrees of severe injuries.
The Bus which burst into flames immediately it crashed into the Lorry with registration number ,Abuja ,ABC 218 ZW trapped the driver, four other passengers, including an elderly woman who were burnt beyond recognition.
Some passengers were able to scamper out of the bus to safety but were severely injured.
Eyewitnesses who said they attempted to rescue the deceased said the driver recklessly tried to over take a lorry with another one on its side when he lost control.
They said the impact of the crash resulted in the inferno.
Men of the FRSC arrived the scene promptly and evacuated the survivors to an undisclosed hospital.
