By Okhide Em’ya David

A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Edo State, Nigeria, Elder Samuel Eboigbe has tasked old and new members of the Party to seize a fresh opportunity provided by the on-going revalidation and registration exercise to declare themselves as true progressives.

Eboigbe, a retired seasoned Journalist and former Executive Director, Edo State Rapid Response Agency, spoke at ward 1, unite 3 in Ewohimi Town, Esan South-East Local Government Area of the State at the weekend.

He observed that undertaking revalidation and registration of membership gives the Party members chances  to reposition themselves for active participation in political decision making process, where they can vote their conscience  in defense of purposeful governance  and be voted for.

The APC Chieftain said the exercise aptly puts the Party above others in terms of pragmatic organizational strategies and well laid out structures to chart a better future for itself and the entire Country being the ruling Party today.

According to him, it is the reason why well-meaning Nigerians even millions of those who were deeply rooted in oppositions are changing their minds and traveling through all the nooks and crannies of the Country to participate in the APC revalidation and registration exercise.

He commended the comportment and resilience of the Party officials at the revalidation and registration Centre where he did his own and called on the Party hierarchy to provide the necessary materials and Logistics to ensure a hitch free exercise.

Elder Eboigbe was amongst the pioneering foot soldiers who fought to establish the Action Congresses of Nigeria (ACN), which later merged with others to form the APC in the South-South Region of Nigeria.
