A national leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Barrister Ken Imansuangbon has asked the Governor of Edo State Mr Godwin Obaseki, whom he described as a “very good and detribalized Nigerian ” to be magnanimous in victory in terms of even and equitable distribution of both infrastructure and human capital development after a resounding victory at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Barrister Ken Imansuangbon also congratulated the Deputy Governor of State, Rt Hon. Philip Shaibu, the Peoples Democtatic Party and the people of Edo State for Obaseki’s victory at the Federal High Court.
The Politician is popularly called the “Rice Amanda,” owing to his quarterly distribution of rice to Edo People through out the 3 Senatorial Districts as well as sponsorship of Academic Scholarship Awards, payments of Medical Bills for indigent Patients in Hospitals and several other interventions and philanthropic gestures.
Imasuangbon gave the advice in a congratulatory Message to the Governor over his victory at a federal high court in Abuja instituted by some members of the opposition party in the State the All Progressive Congresses, APC.
Ken Imansuagbon observed that “the ruling by the federal high Court in Abuja clearly demonstrates the will of the entire Constituents in Edo State” adding that he was particularly appreciative and happy that all impediments or distractions to good governance in the state have been evacuated by the judiciary.”
The Business Mogul notes that “the wild jubilation accompanying the Court verdict demonstrates that Justice was not only received at the Court but that Mr. Godwin Obaseki’s second tenure was fought for by the People who genuinely believed in him.”
His words: “Celebration erupted in the state after the ruling of the Federal High Court. It was not only a testimony that indeed justice was served but also that Obaseki truly came out as the choice of the people”.
Ken Imansuangbon asked “all stakeholders especially the Candidate of the opposition party ,All progressive Congress APC, Pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu his supporters, Civil Societies” to throw in their towels of pursuing selfish interests and join hands with the Governor in his efforts to move the state towards industrial hub of the nation and West African sub region .
He urged Obaseki not to relent in his efforts in making Edo State great and strongly commended him for already hitting the ground running in the task of developing the state particularly in his reforms of the Civil Service, employment in key sectors especially Education, as well as outline of projects in secondary sectors despite the pounding international economic down turn caused by novel Coronavirus.
Ken Imansuangbon asked the People particularly the youths to embrace peace as no meaningful development can be actualized in a atmosphere of rancor.
