Breaking: ThankGod Iduseri, Brother To Key Witness In Perjury, Forgery Case Against PDP, Obaseki Shot

…PDP Describes insinuations As Baseless, Childish, Embarrassing

In less than twenty-four hours after Engr. Gabriel Iduseri testified in a forgery and perjury case against Governor of Edo State Mr. Godwin Obaseki  and the Peoples Democratic Party at a Federal High Court  in Abuja, his brother, Mr. ThankGod Iduseri has been shot in Benin City.

ThankGod was reportedly shot in the early hours of Tuesday outside his home, and he is however said to be recuperating in an undisclosed medical facility in the state capital.

Besides, the witness, Engineer  Iduseri told reporters that he has been receiving series of threats through telephone  calls after his testimony in court.

Chairman Caretaker Committee, Edo State Chapter of the APC, retired  Col. David Imuse in his respond  said, “Engineer Gabriel Iduseri who is one of our witnesses and who testified at the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Monday over a case of forgery and perjury preferred against Governor Godwin Obaseki  had his brother, Mr. ThankGod Iduseri shot this morning. This is quite unfortunate.”

Imuse said: “There’s absolutely no place in the marketplace of ideas for threats of violence against any person, especially those with divergent political beliefs.”

PDP Describes Insinuations As Baseless, Childish, Embarrassing

All efforts to reach the Media Adviser to the Governor of Edo State, Mr. Crusoe Osagie for comments failed.

However, Alltimepost.com was able to reach Edo State Peoples Democratic Party Publicity Secretary, Mr. Chris Osa Nehikhare, who described APC’s insinuations as baseless, childish and embarrassing.

He absorbed his Party and government of any responsibility in the shooting, saying that all they are concerned about is ensuring peace and security in the state.

Nehikhare said it is so childish for anyone to link the shooting to his party and government, when according to him, there have been serious security problems in the state allegedly orchestrated by APC-linked Edo People Movement (EPM) for quite some time now.

He assured that PDP and its government will continue to give priority to the security of lives and properties in the state, noting that they are not known for violence “as the rival APC.”
