Breaking: Abducted Immigration Command PRO Released, Jubilation Follows In Benin

Jubilation rented the air Tuesday afternoon in Benin  City as abductors of  the Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Edo State Command, Mrs Bridget Esene released her.


Although details of her release, negotiations with her abductors   were sketchy as at the time of this report dependable family sources said “our Sister has returned home to the Glory of God.”


Spokesman for the Edo State Police Command, SP Chidi  Nwanbuzor had on  Monday morning assured of her release as crack teams of Special Anti Kidnapping Squad, as well as Criminal Investigation Department (CID),  had been deployed to track the kidnappers.


Nwanbuzor had announced that the Police were combing the forest where the hoodlums were suspected to have taken their victim with the aim of confronting them and rescuing her.


However, the family source who  broke the news under anonymity said what was their happiness and concern was that their sister has been released . It will be recalled  that  Sunday morning  hell was let loose at  Ikhueniro ,Ikpoba Hill axis of Benin City when suspected kidnappers seized Mrs. Bridget Esene as she approached her Church .


An eyewitness  had disclosed that  the hoodlums looked like they trailed her from inside the the Town to the Suburb.


Contrary to reports that sporadic gun shots heralded her abduction, Alltimespost.com  has since learnt that no such thing happened as there was no resistance or confrontation with the bandits .
