Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Edo state chapter, retired Colonel David Imuse has appealed to Christians as they celebrate the Christmas to be strict in observing the NCDC Covid19 prevention rules such as wearing of face masks, hand washing and use of sanitizers and maintain physical distance at all public activities.
Retired Colonel David Imuse made the appeal in a Statement he issued in Benin City during the week.
While felicitating with all Christians on this year’s occasion of Christmas, which marks the birth of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world, Imuse urged them to use the period to reflect on his teaching and endeavor to be Christ-like in words, action and character, reminding them of the virtues of Christ which include love, tolerance, forgiveness and peace.
The Edo APC Caretaker Committee chairman admonished Christians to also use the period of Christmas to forgive and love their neighbors as themselves and remember the vulnerable and less-privileged in the society and extend goodwill to them.
He called on the clergymen and their followers to endeavor to pray for the nation’s leaders, so that they would be able to lead the country on the path of peace, progress and development.
While wishing Christians a Merry Christmas, retired Colonel David Imuse who prayed to God for a glorious and prosperous New Year, 2021, said Edo is an APC State and that the victory of evil over good is temporary.
