The call was made in Benin City by Edo indigenous leader and President of EPIA- Chief Dr. Bishop Omogiade Enoyiegiere Edokpolo while discussing with newsmen on the way forward for Edo indigenous people. He said development is all about the people.

“This template when fully adopted, will bring about the needed development Edo indigenes desire. This template is holistic and speaks directly into the development needs of Edo people.

“Though Governor Obaseki did well in his first tenure, but more is still expected from him and his deputy, Rt. Hon. Comr. Philip Shaibu. Their administration did well with the memorandum of understanding (MOU) entered into with foreign expartriates in a bid to developing the State. Examples of the dividends include the modular refinary, the state’s industrial village, the gas power station, timely payment of pensioners, etc.

“The template reflects the following developmental needs: Law and Order empower Edo indigenes with contracts and appointments, security, electricity stability, equipping Edo hospitals, Edo Indigenous students bursary, education, international air and sea ports, attract  Railway to Edo Kingdom.

The above is just a summary of the template put together by Edo indigenous people and compiled by EPIA”,  this will help to fasilitate the the reality of Edo becoming the Economic hub in west Africa, said Chief. Dr. Omogiade Edokpolo.
