A civil society group under the aegis of No Sidon Look, at the weekend, held a voter education rally in Benin City, the Edo State capital, to sensitise the electorate on the need to turn out en masse on Saturday, September 19, 2020 to exercise their franchise.

The CSO with interest in good governance, also reaffirmed its support for the reelection of Edo State Governor and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Godwin Obaseki.

It urged eligible voters in the state to vote for the PDP to enable the governor continue with his numerous achievements in the last three years and nine months.

Director General of the organisation, Mr. Portrait Peterson, who hailed the governor’s outstanding performance across all sectors of the state, charged the electorate to turn out with their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) on September 19, 2020 to ensure Obaseki’s reelection.

According to him, “In the last two months, we have been on the streets of Edo State campaigning for Governor Obaseki who has done what two governors put together were unable to do in 16 years.

“We have gone round the 18 local government areas of the state and have testimonies of how the governor has affected the lives of Edo people in the grassroots, giving them hope for a better Edo.”

Peterson further noted: “Obaseki is the only man who has performed beyond all expectations. He has opened the eyes of Edo people to know that there is money in government and such money ought to be used in developing the state and its people.

“We as a movement will continue to engage the youths in all our activities to ensure we keep them busy as it’s a way of keeping them off crime.”
