Former Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Pius Egberanmwen Odubu, at the week extolled the qualities of his former boss and ex-Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, on his 68th birthday, saying he set the template in purposeful leadership.
Odubu’s statement was contained in a message of goodwill, celebrating Oshiomhole who is the current National Chairman of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress.
He started with the words of famous American essayist, lecturer, philosopher and poet, Ralph Waldo Emerson as thus: “What We Have Learnt From Others Becomes Our Own Reflection.”
“Working with you for 8 years afforded me the opportunity to learn a lot of lessons which in the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson have now become my personal reflections,” he remarked.
Odubu described Oshiomhole as one who has over the years, given so much of himself that others may borrow from and put to good use in the service of others, adding: “You have always been a leader that we in Edo State remain proud and grateful to.”

HAPPY 68TH BIRTHDAY TO OUR LEADER-COMRADE ADAMS OSHIOMHOLE
“What We Have Learnt From Others Becomes Our Own Reflection “~ Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Let me on behalf of my family felicitate with you Our dear Leader and National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress as you clock 68th years of age.
Working with you for 8 years afforded me the opportunity to learn a lot of lessons which in the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson have now become my personal reflections. At 68, you have bestrode the political landscape of our great country like a collossus contributing positively in every way to it’s development.
At a time like this when the world, nay, our country Nigeria is experiencing an unprecedented level of health and medical challenges with it’s attendant impact on the social, economic and political lives of the citizenry, I wish to join others to pray God to protect you , your family, all the leaders and peoples of our Country, Nigeria.
Over the years, you have given so much of yourself that others may borrow from and put to good use in the service of others.
You have always been a leader that we in Edo State remain proud and grateful to. You have set the template in purposeful leadership, even as your commitment to our dear country, Nigeria, is a testament to patriotism.
We pray to Almighty God to grant you more fruitful years ahead give you strength and keep you in excellent health, as you join in the fight for the salvation of our fatherland.
