Provincial Pastor David Olusoji of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Edo State of Nigeria, has called for violent praying assembly against all manners of terrorism in Nigeria, especially those mindless acts of terror being targeted against the body of Christ.
Pastor Olusoji who is in charge of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Province Five in Edo State, made this passionate call at the Shekinah Glory Zonal Headquarters Parish of the RCCG in Oluku, Benin City, last weekend, as part of his familiarization tour of Zones under the provincial headquarters.
He said violent praying assemblies by redeemers in particular and Christians in general is the only potent weapon that can block the current relentless persecution being unleashed against the body of Christ and innocent Nigerians across the country.
”Our weapon is not carnal but spiritual, considering the fact that we are in end time, solemn assembly is no longer the tool to be used in this regard.
“The ongoing persecution of Christians and innocent persons in Nigeria now demand very violent praying assembly by redeemers and the entire body of Christ to halt these frightening, despicable and desperate enemies confronting us in Nigeria today,” he declared.
“Since the murderous persecution of Christians broke out in an unimaginable proportion, it has grown beyond measures. We must therefore intensify the efforts to win more souls for Christ, to take up our possessions through consistent prayers.
“We are the ones given the responsibility to stop this unprecedented menace. Christians must wake up; we must gather and pray violently. This is the time more than ever before.”
Pastor Olusoji praised the Pastor-in-Charge of the Shekinah Glory Zonal Headquarters, Pastor Frank Amegor for his pursuit of excellence which, according to him, has made the Zone to come first in the Province in the recent ratings conducted within the RCCG, and urged him never to relent in his efforts.
In his capacity as the Chief Host at the event, Pastor Frank Amegor who was visibly elated said: ”It is a rare privilege that the Pastor-in-Charge of the Province (PICP) has deemed it necessary to pay us a visit, first of its kind since he was posted to Province 5.
“I feel really elated considering the plethora of blessings that God Almighty has used him to dish out to us in Shekinah Glory Zone. We really appreciate the PICP visit. My prayers is that in no distant time we shall all be reaping bountifully the benefits of his historic visit and prayers.”
The event was well attended by parishioners, invited guests, friends and well-wishers.
