Security Chiefs, legal luminary, captains of industry and religious leaders in Edo State at the weekend described the out-gone Commissioner of Police in state, AIG DanMallam Mohammad as a refined and humane police officer whose Professionalism would be greatly missed.
They gave the submission at a farewell party in honour of the new Assistant-Inspector General (AIG) of Police in Benin City.
According to them, AIG DanMallam’s all embracing leadership styles led to the present healthy synergy amongst security agencies in the state.
He was commended for his patience to listen to everyone before taking decision on every issue brought to his office.
AIG DanMallam Mohammad, described as a man of great personality was also appreciated for according desired action to the welfare of men and officers of the state police command during his nine months leadership.
Among those present were government functionaries, Director of DSS in Edo, Commander, Nigerian Army, 4brigade headquarters, Benin City and the Edo State NBA Chairman, Prince Collins Benson Ogiegbaen.
Basking in the euphoria of his new elevation and encomiums showered on him by dignitaries, admirers and colleagues at the event, AIG DanMallam thanked them for the show of love as it would spur him to do more in his endeavours.
He advised all security agencies in the state to be at alert all times as Edo State is peculiar in terms of crime prevention and control.
AIG DanMallam however thank God, Edo State Government and his colleagues for the successes recorded thus far.
Recall that AIG DanMallam Mohammad was deployed to Edo State during last March presidential election.
He succeeded CP Hakeem Olusegun Odumosu now Acting CP Lagos State.
DanMallam Mohammad was recently elevated to the rank of AIG and deployed to head the Special Protection Unit (SPU), Force headquarters, Abuja.
Meanwhile, one CP Lawan Jimeta has been deployed to Edo State and he is expected to assume duty this week.
