Oba of Benin, Ewuare II has assured the new Edo State Director of the Department of State Security of Palace support and cooperation in the discharge of his duties in the state.
The Benin Monarch gave the assurance when the DSS Chief, Barr. Brown Ekwoaba led other management of the service on a courtesy call to His Royal Majesty.
The Omo N’Oba told his visitors that the Palace have had cordial relationship with the Department of State Security, adding that the various Chiefs and Enigie in the Kingdom would be told to cooperate with the DSS, especially in offering useful information that would lead to crime detection and prevention.
Oba Ewuare II prayed for the success of Barr. Ekwoaba in the discharge of his duties in Edo State.
Earlier, Barr. Brown Ekwoaba said he was in the Oba Palace to pay homage and solicit for Royal blessings to enable him succeed in his duties.
Barr. Ekwoaba told His Royal Majesty that his mission in Edo State was to join forces with other security agencies to maintain peace and ensure security of lives and property of the people of Edo State.
