ISSUE IN THE NEWS IN 2018: ‘A JUBRIL IN ASO ROCK’

It beats my intellectual/academic imagination that one selfish, parochial, soulless, wickedly desperate and insanely ambitious Nnamdi Kanu, who is dreaming of reenacting a lost Biafran country that the legendary Dim Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu, failed frantically to create, has succeeded in fooling many Nigerians that ‘President Muhammad Buhari died long time ago.’ What is more seething, ridiculous and most pathetic is the way and manner a chunk of prominent and so called highly educated Nigerians, including some PhD holders, ‘First Class Prophets, Pastors and Bishops, have fallen miserably for the clever evil propaganda game of Nnamdi Kanu, who has not shown an iota of feeling for thousands of Biafran sympathizers that have met their untimely deaths and being incarcerated today in the name of a fairy republic. In creating a ‘foreigner in Aso Rock’ Nnamdi Kanu has succeeded beyond his wildest imagination by hitting his greatest political enemy in President Muhammadu Buhari below the belt.

The year 2018 has rolled away and there is nothing any mortal can do to stop the year 2019 from running its natural path.

But, one can only peep into the year 2018 and bring back memories of some of the events that played out positively or negatively.

In trying to recapture some of  these events, it is pertinent to single out a significant episode that heavily impacted on the social political  terrain within the Federal Republic on Nigeria in the year under review.

The alleged Foreigner in Aso Rock

Therefore, in looking at the ‘issue in the news in 2018’ here, an issue that I consider absolutely disturbing and acutely unfortunate was the alleged ‘cloning of President Muhammadu Buhari.’

Undoubtedly, never before has a sitting President or Head of State in Nigeria been so subjected to such unwarranted vicious attacks concerning the authenticity of his ‘original being,’ as President Muhammadu Buhari.

He had been subjected to bombardment ‘left, right and center,’ mostly by members of the opposition political parties in the year 2018.

Simply because President Muhammadu Buhari was hospitalized in and out of London for several months in the early stages of his presidency, many of his political detractors and those Nigerians who are being worst hit negatively by his style of leadership ‘wanted him dead so to say.’

As things turned out about his health, the then ‘ailing President’ miraculously ‘refused to die’ and has since bounced back to life contrary to the evil expectations of his adversaries.

Now, looking at the issue of his alleged cloning closely by a Sudanese guy, my wide reading has exposed me to the fact that some international personalities have had to duplicate themselves for political security to forestall possible assassination of the original personality.

We have seen isolated cases like that in the then Soviet Union and part of Eastern Europe, but such security precautions or decoy did not remove the physical appearance of the principal entity.

What is obtainable in such scenario is that the ‘original entity’ for security reasons will allow a ‘look alike person’ to be fabricated and appear in public for some hours to serve a particular function or program, and as soon as that expedient security purpose has been achieved the ‘fake guy’ is confiscated to go about his or her normal physical activity. Security experts are abreast of what I am elucidating here!

The point l am trying to make is that an adult or any one can be duplicated into several entities by using sophisticated costumes/make up, but that a dead man or woman can be permanently cloned is something that I have not been able to reconcile myself with.

Yes, scientific breakthrough has made the cloning of animals and humans possible at an embryonic /infant stage, but not a full grown man or woman. I stand to be educated if there is a scientific manipulation that can turn a supposedly ‘dead President Buhari’ into the ‘foreigner,’ now allegedly occupying the Aso Rock Presidential Palace in the nation’s capital city of Abuja.

The alleged cloning of Buhari is nothing but a carefully wrapped scientific political strategy, concocted maliciously to destabilize, ridicule and take the ruling party out of favor with the electorate in Nigeria, most especially as the 2019 Presidential Election is around the corner.

Yours sincerely is not a card carrying member of any political party in Nigeria. Agreed that the President has his short comings, but between the so called ‘devil’ and the ‘deep blue sea’ where do we cast our lots on the February 16 2019?

No doubt, the 2019 Presidential Election in Nigeria is going to be about President Muhammadu Buhari versus coalitions and amalgamations of systemic thieves who have had to steal from the public till, and are desperate to reverse the situation to where the nation was in 2015, to continue to rape the beauty of the Nigerian people.

Nigerians must look above the lines of sentiments, satanic rumor and carefully weaved political propaganda; the problem in Nigeria is not about political parties but about individuals who have assaulted our vulnerability in the past to lead us into a terrible dark alley.

It is most unfortunate that the leading contenders for the presidential stool in the land are not the first class materials available, but in the midst of the present situation a choice must be made.

The ‘alleged foreigner’ in Aso Rock episode is a classic example of how political viciousness cum intolerance has been taken to the gutter of lunacy in Nigeria.
