Find Badeh’s Killers, Buhari Orders Security Agencies, Describes Death As Sad, Unfortunate

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the Nigerian Security Agencies to find the killers of former Chief of Defense Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh (rtd), describing the killing as “very sad and unfortunate.”

Buhari gave the order today, while responding to the brutal killing, in a statement, signed by his Special Adviser on Media & Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina.

“The President commiserates with the family of the late four-star general, his friends and professional colleagues in the military, and the people and government of Adamawa State.”

President Buhari who Noted that the late Badeh, who was also a former Chief of Air Staff, attained professional fulfillment in his over three decades of military career, regretted that he fell victim to incidence of violent and fatal attacks on the nation’s highways.

“He directs security agencies to find the killers of the 15th Chief of Defense Staff and bring them to face the full force of the law, while ensuring greater security and safety for all users of the country’s roads.”

“The President prays that God Almighty comforts all those who mourn Air Chief Marshal Badeh and grant his soul peaceful rest.”

The late Badeh, who served under ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, as Chief of Defense Staff, was shot to death in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital on Tuesday by unknown gunmen, while returning from his farm.

Following his death, according to report, two of his aides were kidnapped by the gunmen.
