The event which took place at the Hilton Garden, Toronto Airport West/Mississauga 1870 Matheson Blvd. Mississauga, Canada from August 24 to 26, 2018, attracted the institution’s alumni from around the globe.
Eghoba Chicago branch President, Mr. Osagie Igbinosun, presented the award to Chief Elamah in recognition of his distinguished leadership, loyalty and devotion to Edo State and his alma mater in particular on behalf of the Association’s Global President, retired Col. Paul Ihianle.
In his acceptance speech, Chief Elamah expressed gratitude for the gesture and promised to join hands with his Old Boys to rebuild the institution and restore its past glory, praying for peace and unity to remain with Eghoba Global Association.
Also, Mr. Osagie Igbinosun, who was the convention coordinator, expressed his profound gratitude to Dr. Charles Omosigho, Prof. Egbon Ehigie, Chief Osayi Omoruyi, Eghoba Vice President, Mr. Lucky Ikponmwosa and Dr. Augustine Egbagbe for their selfless efforts towards the success of the convention.

The theme of the convention was: “The Role of Education in Sustainable Development,” with the keynote speaker being Dr. Robert Irabor while Dr. Anthony Okorodudu chaired the occasion.
Highlights of the event included, lectures and deliberations on ways forward on how to rebuild Eghosa Anglican Grammar School and restore its past glory; Fundraising, Gala Night and awards presentation.
