Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS) Youth Council has launched the ECOWAS Youth Council leadership series, an initiative for leaders as well as business men and influencers across the globe to use their wealth of experience and knowledge and mentor young ones.
The initiative was recently launched in Liberia by the Vice President of Liberia H.E Jewel Howard, and the Special Adviser to the ECOWAS youth president on Education, Ambassador Tosin Sanusi in Monrovia, Liberia.
Amb. Tosin Sanusi disclosed that this initiative is a leadership club from the stables of the ECOWAS Youth Council to impact the lives of the youth and the global society at large. He said “young people around the world are striving to improve their quality of life with very few people knowing exactly how to do that the right way. Access to role models and influencers has become more difficult with their busy schedules”.
He explained that the series would come in form of interviews, discussions and different level of engagements with government and business leaders in Africa around the world. “We are leveraging all major social media platforms to influence youth in leadership, strategy and business savviness. Social media is where you would find a lot of the youths and we are strongly going towards that direction”.
According to him, the whole idea is to help bring youths closer to successful personalities with a view to tap from their wealth of knowledge to understand the nittty gritty of being successful which would have a positive ripple effect on the African continent at large.
