College Of Education Students/Workers’ Lawsuit: Edo Govt Knows Fate October 10

[dropcap]R[/dropcap]uling has been fixed for October 10, 2018, by the National Industrial Court, Akure, in suit No: NICN/BEN/08/18 between the staff and students of College of Agriculture, Iguoriakhi, Edo State vs Edo State Government & others.

The claimants are seeking against the Defendants orders of Mandatory & Interlocutory Injunctions respectively to re-open the College, pay outstanding salaries and be restrained from victimization of claimants by termination or dismissal from employment or expulsion from the college on account of the institution of the law suit.

The claimants are also seeking an order to restrain Edo House of Assembly from maliciously repealing the establishment law of the college sequel to the filing of the suit by the claimants.

Arguments were concluded in court on Wednesday April 4, 2018 and after hearing arguments of the Claimants counsel, West-Idahosa & Co and I. Kadiri, Esq, Senior State Counsel from Edo State Ministry of Justice, adjourned ruling to October 10, 2018.
