EDO PDP says “THANK YOU” to EDO PEOPLE.
Good people of Edo State, with hope and excitement, we thank you for your support and co-operation over the years. As a political party, we are humbled by the way and manner you responded to our directive to observe Saturday March 3, 2018 as a day of rest. It is unprecedented.
Your decision and action was clear and unambiguous. You told the Edo State APC government that their impunity and arrogance will no longer be tolerated. You refused to give credibility to the sham they called Local Government Elections. We appreciate you. We thank you.
In the last couple of days, the results of the sham election as predetermined and written for Prof. Stanley Orobator to “recite”, has been made public. His performance and that of his discredited EDSIEC has failed public scrutiny as people have unanimously declared this EDSIEC as the worst ever.
The result figures as released by EDSIEC have been “FANTABULOUS”, COMICAL and SHAMEFUL.
Even the National Chairman of APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun regretted the very poor turnout of voters.
But APC and the men in EDSIEC had the courage to allocate the figures below:
OREDO LGA
APC – 53,381 VOTES
• ORHIONMWON LGA
APC -47,442 VOTES
• ETSAKO CENTRAL LGA
APC – 22,235 VOTES
• IGUEBEN LGA
APC – 21,861 VOTES
• ESAN CENTRAL LGA
APC – 28,387 VOTES
• ESAN SOUTH EAST LGA
APC – 34,765 VOTES
• ESAN NORTH EAST LGA
APC – 24,127 VOTES
• ETSAKO WEST LGA
APC – 69,998 VOTES
• IKPOBA OKHA LGA
APC – 68,926 VOTES….
A total of 371,122 votes was collated for 9 local government areas! Be adviced that APC in the last governorship election got less than 318000 votes from all the wards and Local governments across the state. However, in their arrogance, they shamelessly allocated 371,122 votes to themselves in just nine local government areas.
You can begin to imagine the grand total number of votes declared by Prof. Orobator’s EDSIEC in the 18 local government areas. It is disgraceful.
As a political party, I believe it is pertinent for us to let Edo people know that we didn’t participate in the sham not because we were worried that they would allocate FANTABULOUS votes to themselves, which we have experienced before, but because they contaminated and polluted the process as prescribed by the constitution and electoral Act.
