Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki has commended the Lady Mechanic Initiative for the resourcefulness put in the refurbishment of the abandon Edo Line Complex into a modern workshop.
He gave the commendation when he visited the Workshop accomplished by his deputy, Hon Philip shiabu and other government functionaries yesterday.
Obaseki who expressed satisfaction with the level of work done in the place in less than two months said his administration would not relent to direct its resources to partner with individuals who are ready to join hands with the government to develop the state.
He said going by the level of professionalism employed in the remodelling of the workshop, assembling of vehicles could be done in the state. ‘’ I have always believed in the Lady Mechanic Initiative, that was why I handed over the place to them to manage.
I am impressed with the transformation; she did the renovation work with her profits, when you are passionate about something, you will always get results.
Appreciating the governor for the confidence repose in her to refurbish governnemt vehicles, Mrs Sandra Aguebor, the founder of the Lady Mechanic Initiative said she was passionate about what she does and was ready to impact her skills on young ones who were ready to be trained.
She said over 100 vehicles have been rebranded in the workshop with over 150 persons learning the job.
Some of the departments in the workshop include, Lubrication, Vulcanising, Wheel Balancing Augment, Mechanic Upholstery department etc.
