DAAR Communication Offers Improved Partnership With EFCC

By Alltimepost.com

DAAR Communications, owners of AIT and Ray Power FM agreed to continue to work together with EFCC to fight corruption in Nigeria.

This understanding was affirmed on December 2, 2016 when the EFCC Chairman and his team visited DAAR Communications as part of sensitization outreach ahead of the Women Against Corruption programme scheduled to hold on December 7, in Abuja.

“We are not unaware of the continued support in terms of free air time for anti-corruption message from our organisation. We have come to say thank you and to ask for more, as the EFCC alone cannot do it”, Magu told his hosts. He also asked for the support of the media outfit in the forth coming anti-corruption campaign on December 7, 2016.

Tony Akiotu, Group Managing Director, DAAR Communications who received the EFCC team commended the EFCC chairman for the zeal and passion with which he is carrying out his assignment.

“Prior to EFCC, there was a lot of impunity. The advent of EFCC brought about fear and caution as it means there is an agency that could hold somebody accountable. Fighting corruption is not the easiest fight at all; it’s like the job of the Tax Man. Nobody want to see the Tax Man; yet, he must be seen by all”, he explained.

He however advised the EFCC Boss to allow justice and fairness play a role in the discharge of his responsibilities.

He also promised to help the Commission achieve its mandate in terms of propagation of anti-corruption messages. “It’s not about you, it’s not about me. It’s not about the office, but it’s about the Nigeria dream”, he said.
