Benin Kingdom Crown Prince and the Edaiken N’ Uselu, Ambassador Eheneden Erediauwa will ascend the Great Benin Throne on September 26, 2016, according to the Benin Traditional Council.
In an email invitation sent to certain persons/Associations today, the Chairman of the Coronation Planning Committee and Enogie (Duke) of Evbuobonosa, HRH, Prof. G.I. Akenzua, OON said the coronation of the new King would take place at historic Urhokpota Hall, Oba Ovonramwen Square in Benin City, Edo State capital.

Dear President,
I write to convey my warmest greetings and best wishes to you and members of your Association.
I am delighted to inform you that following the conclusion of all due traditional rites by HRH Crown Prince (Amb.) Eheneden Erediauwa, the Edaiken N’Uselu, the Benin Traditional Council has now set the 26th of September, 2016 for his coronation as the new Oba of Benin. The event will hold at the URHOKPOTA, Oba Ovonramwen Square in Benin City.
The purpose of this mail is to invite you and your members to join to celebrate this great event.
The formal invitation card will be forwarded to you as soon as we know who will be able to attend the ceremony.
