Abuja – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is currently quizzing three key Peoples Demorcatic Party officials over their involvement in the receipt and sharing of the N24 billion payout by former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke ahead of last year’s presidential election.
EFCC operatives Those being questioned are former Cross River Governor, Senator Lyel Imoke, whose state chairman of the PDP, Ntifam John Okon received N500 million from Fidelity Bank, former Deputy Governor of Edo State, Chief Lucky Imasuen and former Secretary to the State Government of Edo State, Pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu, whose chapter of the PDP got N700 million from the huge cash.
A source said the top politicians are cooperating with operatives in the investigation.
