Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, on Thursday communicated to President Muhammadu Buhari the confirmation by the Senate of 18 nominees whose names were among those forwarded to the legislative body on September 30 for consideration for ministerial positions.
Saraki, in an official letter sent through Senator Ita Enang, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Legislative Matters (Senate), informed the president that the Senate found the 18 nominees who had gone through its confirmation hearing suitable to occupy the office of ministers of the Federal Republic as provided for in Section 147 (2) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended.
The nominees, whose appointment by the president had been confirmed, are Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Chief Audu Ogbeh, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Danbazau, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Hajiya Amina Ibrahim Mohammed, Mr Suleiman Adamu and Alhaji Ibrahim Usman Jibril.
Others are Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN), Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, Abubakar Malami (SAN), Dr. Chris Ngige, Senator Aishat Jummai Al-Hassan, Mr Solomon Dalong, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun and Senator Hadi Sirika.(TRIBUNE)
