As President Muhammadu Buhari prepares to name members of his much awaited cabinet, Nigerian Clergy, Pastor Sunday Obiora has advised him to ensure that those to be appointed are men and women of great characters with the requisite competency to do the job.
Pastor Obiora who is in-charge of Shekinah Glory Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Zonal Headquarters, told Alltimepost.com in Benin during a special service marking his birthday that he was concerned about negative influence in Nigerian politics.
The man of God believed that the massive electoral victory of General Buhari at the last presidential election was an act of divine providence, adding that he must do everything possible to respect and protect the goodwill of the people.
‘‘The people voted for President Buhari and God almighty has a hand in his election as the masses will not want him to disappoint them…President Buhari wants to deliver, so he should not allow any segment of the country to pressurize him to choose wrong characters as members of his cabinet.
“Therefore, he should go for competent quality personalities, round pegs in round holes that will assist him to deliver democratic dividends to the people of Nigeria’’
