Return Mission Schools To Owners, Archbishop Imaekhai Tells Oshiomhole

Christian Mission schools owners are keeping up the fight for the return of their institutions, with a request, last weekend to Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to give them back to their original owners.

The Archbishop, Bendel Province of the Church of Nigerian (Anglican Communion), The Most Reverend Friday Imaekhai made the passionate request while speaking at the 1st Session of the Fifth Synod of Esan Diocese of the Anglican Communion at St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Ekpoma.

He praised the governor for his response to the infrastructural development challenge of the state, resulting in the construction of roads and rehabilitation of schools and colleges across the State, which according to him, was made possible by his sterling administrative qualities.

The religious Minister expressed gratitude to the Governor for his support and assistance to the diocese, praying God to bless him with good health and more wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state.

“we commend Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State for the construction of roads and rehabilitation of schools and colleges. We request that colleges owned by missions that were taken over by government be returned to them,” he stated.

He also begged the governor to tar major roads in Edo Central Senatorial District of the State, including the access road to the Archbishop’s Palace, located in the Ujoelen Grammar School axis of Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area.

Archbishop Imaekhai expressed delight over the resolution of the impasse that had hitherto existed in the State House of Assembly with the election of new members, expressing optimism that the Governor, having majority in the House would deliver on all his campaign promises.
