Otunba Mike Aladenika who is hoping to be the next president of the NUJ in June 2015 revealed this plan last week at his official declaration in Benin City while addressing a cross section of leaders of the NUJ within and outside the state.

By this gesture, Aladenika said he hoped to compliment the efforts of the incoming administration of retired Major-General Mohammadu Buhari in tackling the grave unemployment problem in the country.

He said the NUJ under his watch will be set to provide a National Network media centre at the National Secretariat and with sub-centres in all the 37 NUJ councils within his first one and a half- year in office.

Under the plan, Aladenika said he expected that no less than 3 Journalists and one Webmaster will be employed by the media centres at the State council levels.

He also said a detailed blueprint on the re-engineering of the NUJ for political relevance in Nigeria to the extent of generating and influencing governmental policies of interest to the people is ready for implementation.

“Nigerians will find in the NUJ, a true voice of the voiceless, advocate of true democracy and good governance and a monitor of true institutional checks and balances in government,” he added.
