Premier Edo Organization in the Diaspora, Edo National Association Worldwide (ENAW) has urged winners of last Saturday election in Edo State to begin the task of leading and advocating for their various constituencies for the overall development of the state.
The organization which made the call during the week in a congratulatory message to the voters, contestants, and winners at the election said to the newly elected: “remember, we are the reason you are here today.
We have laid our hopes at your feet and you have this golden opportunity to uplift us all; Please do not let us down.”
In the message which was signed by Elder Franklin Omoruna and Prince Victor Ehue, National President and Secretary of the organization respectively, ENAW extended its hands of partnership to the politicians by pledging to work with them for the development of the state.
“We at Edo National Association Worldwide see ourselves as partners in the development of our state and will work with you and monitor your progress as you work diligently in the progress of Edo State and all its citizens.”
The organization praised the courage, persistence and steadfastness of those who were victorious at the election while at the same time assuring the losers that they would be remembered by their ability to reflect on their setback and use their understanding as a guiding light for greater successes and accomplishments in the near future.
ENAW urged them to draw inspiration from the experience of the President-Elect Major General Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd) who never gave up his ambition until he won after trying four times.
“To those who were unsuccessful in this go round, know that you will be remembered by your ability to reflect on your present setback and use your understanding as a guiding light for greater successes and accomplishments in the near future.
Our President-Elect Major General Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd), has proven to us all that we should never give up on our dreams.”
