On Sunday night, Barcelona will host Real Madrid in the latest installment of the El Clasico. Both teams come into the tie with differing forms. Lionel Messi has been spectacular for the Catalans, while Carlo Ancelotti’s men are struggling bad, with Cristiano Ronaldo off colour. It promises to be a tasty affair. And no doubt, this game might probably determine who wins the La Liga this season. Barca are currently on top, one point ahead of Madrid.
Liverpool vs Manchester United
England’s version of the El Clasico – Liverpool vs Manchester United – will also be played on Sunday. Liverpool have hit form since United humiliated them 3-0 last December and sit in 5th place, two points behind Louis van Gaal’s men. Brendan Rodgers’ team will not only be looking for revenge, but they will try to topple United in the race for Champions League places.
Newcastle vs Arsenal
Arsenal will be seeking to put behind their Champions League exit at Monaco this week, to focus on qualifying for next season’s competition by winning at Newcastle. The Gunners even have a chance to finish second in this campaign, as Manchester City’s indifferent form continues. Arsene Wenger is very aware of this and knows the season can end very well, especially if they also win the FA Cup.
Manchester City vs West Brom
In the past few weeks, it has all gone pear shape for Manchester City. If the past week was supposed to be a season-defining week, then they have failed miserably. The Premier League champions lost at Burnley last weekend and were outclassed by Barcelona in the Champions League this week. West Brom visit this weekend and they have every chance to salvage what is left of a faltering season.
