People’s Democratic Party (PDP’s) chieftain in Edo State, Mr. Nathaniel Awala has lauded Governor Adams Oshiomhole for the quality projects embarked upon by his administration, which according to him have put smiles on the faces of Edo people.
Mr. Awala who met the Governor during one of his inspection tours of on-going projects in the state capital said: “this is not about PDP or APC.
I am a PDP man and I am congratulating you today because you have put smiles on the faces of the people of Edo state who never thought of seeing smile. You see those houses that were submerged; many of the owners are coming back.”
Awala who cornered the Governor during his inspection of the 6-lane Upper Siluko road in Benin City Monday, remarked, “it is good to be good. The good you are doing now, you will enjoy it. You are not doing this good for yourself, you are doing it for the children yet unborn.
It is not the money, because you cannot keep money for them but you can keep a good environment for them and that is what you are doing.
What you are doing is a continuous process, we appreciate you and we will always preach the good news to others.”
Also speaking, a community leader in the area, Mr. Iyen Godfrey said “Our Governor, I can see the development that you are doing and I want to urge you to continue with the speed with which you are going presently.”
Earlier, while inspecting the level of work done at the Ultra-Modern Central Hospital in Benin, the Governor expressed satisfaction with the pace of work presently done. He however urged the contracting firm to expedite work in order to meet the deadline.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Aihunuwa Eregie told newsmen after the inspection of the 200-bed Accident and Emergency Ward at the Central Hospital that, “Work is progressing satisfactorily.”
